“Combating the ‘fake news’ epidemic – understanding and preventing the spread of misinformation”
Fake news is not new, but as more people turn to social networks as a primary and trusted source of information, misinformation presents a growing threat to the health system and society. What are the public health risks and how can epidemiologists, researchers, and clinicians promote the uptake of evidence-based public health? Join us for the 18th annual SEA Symposium in Saskatoon to explore this topic!
A limited number of travel awards of $75 are available to students attending the meeting and travelling from outside Saskatoon. Preference is given to students with an accepted abstract, otherwise they will be awarded in the order that completed applications are received. More information and process for application are contained on the application form.
