What is the purpose of the Saskatchewan Epidemiology Association (SEA)?
• Promote development of epidemiological expertise
• Facilitate professional development
• Enhance collaborative research
• Address issues affecting training and practice of epidemiology and health research in Saskatchewan
• Advocate for evidence-based public policies
• Address issues and developments in the planning, delivery and evaluation of preventive, community and other health services
Who can become a member?
Members are individuals from the community whose occupation and/or interests include epidemiology or biostatistics. These individuals may consist of epidemiologists, biostatisticians, teachers, students, physicians, veterinarians, researchers, etc.
Epidemiology is the study of health and/or disease and their causes and contributors in a population. The populations studied can be human, animal, vegetable, or microbial.
