What is the purpose of the Saskatchewan Epidemiology Association (SEA)?

  1. • Promote development of epidemiological expertise

  2. • Facilitate professional development

  3. • Enhance collaborative research

  4. • Address issues affecting training and practice of epidemiology and health research in   Saskatchewan

  5. • Advocate for evidence-based public policies

  6. • Address issues and developments in the planning, delivery and evaluation of preventive, community and other health services

Who can become a member?

Members are individuals from the community whose occupation and/or interests include epidemiology or biostatistics. These individuals may consist of epidemiologists, biostatisticians, teachers, students, physicians, veterinarians, researchers, etc.

 

Epidemiology is the study of health and/or disease and their causes and contributors in a population. The populations studied can be human, animal, vegetable, or microbial.
